They claimed the Women’s Division One playoffs for 2017. They claimed a number of spots on All-Star teams for 2017. They saw Kelly O’Hallahan named Player of the Year.
Needless to say, it’s been a pretty solid few months for women’s basketball in Kilkenny.
Now, with the votes in and tallied, MC Hawks can add another title to their list of accolades for 2017 having been announced on KCLR this morning as the April winner for the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Awards.
The local basketball side secured this months’ honour in a public vote, beating competition from Kilkenny City Harriers and the Kilkenny Senior Camogie Team.
