Mikey Carey has reportedly returned to the Kilkenny senior hurling panel.
The Young Irelands club man hasn’t been part of the squad this season having been abroad. However, it’s been reported by Irish Independent journalist Michael Verney that Carey is now back in the fold ahead of Sunday’s Leinster championship clash with Antrim.
Carey was one of four players that took time out to travel after last year’s campaign, with midfielder Conor Browne, Richie Leahy and James Maher all opting out of the squad.
There had been speculation that Carey would be returning to the panel and it looks as though that will be the case with manager Derek Lyng able to call on his services for the remainder of the championship.
