Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says the mindset and attitude within the County has changed completely.
Speaking to KCLR after their victory over Leitrim on Saturday, Turlough says they now expect to win every game and they are focused on the challenge of Waterford.
“Well look, expectations are a wonderful thing too because if you look at the likes of Kilkenny in Hurling, Kerry in Football, they expect to win”
“In times past Carlow expected to lose, our mentality has changed. We expect to win and that’s the way we are approaching the rest of these league games”
We take it one game at a time, we are very very focused on what we want to do this year and we are off to a good start. We got to the break with our six points from the first three games, that was the first target we had”
“Waterford is always a very very difficult game down in Dungarvan especially. Waterford are a very big physical team and very very good footballers, it will be nip and tuck so it will down in Dungarvan”
