Mount Wolseley Golf Club Manager Eamonn O’Donnell says that Europe Team Captain Thomas Bjorn will be looking to British Open winner Francesco Molinari as one of their key players as they attempt to regain the Ryder Cup next weekend.

Speaking to KCLR, Eamonn says that the Italian will play a big part.

“I think Bjorn will be looking at Molinari to be one of the flagship players for Europe.

“I would imagine he is possibly going to play 5 of the matches.

“He is a perfect foursomes partner, the guy hasn’t missed a fairway I think since 1997 or something like that.

“He is obviously a man in very good form at the moment and full of confidence so you would be looking for him to produce a good week of golf and put a few points on the board,” he said.
