Mullinavat are the Kilkenny Senior Football Champions for 2017.

They defeated Railyard by 3-12 to 2-5 at Nowlan park yesterday in a lively decider.

Kilkenny are the Arrabawn under 16 All Ireland Hurling Champions.

After victories against Limerick, Wexford and Clare, they came up against rivals Tipperary in the Final.

And they won out on a scoreline of 3-21 to 2-10 to ensure that the conveyor belt is well and truly safe and sound.

There’s two games taking place in Kilkenny this evening.

At 6pm in Bennettsbridge the Byrne Cup Semi Final sees Clara up against James Stephens.

While the Byrne Shield Final has a 6.15 start in Canon Kearns Park where Erins Own play St Martins in what should be an intereting encounter.
