Mullinavat Senior Football Captain Tom Aylward says that Saturday’s County Football Final victory over Railyard gives them a winning momentum ahead of their first round Senior Championship clash against Bennettsbridge.
Speaking to KCLR, Tom says having that winning mentality is very important….
“I suppose it won’t make up for the disappointment (of losing last weeks hurling game to Carrickshock), we are still a bit gutted after losing the game”
“The winning momentum definitely helps and all that plays in the football are involved with the hurling so it kind of gives us the winning mentality of the club as well so definitely going into the Bennettsbridge game, it gives us a bit of confidence as well and I suppose the football is always a good use for even building a bit of fitness as well and team morale so we definitely did”
