Consistency the problem for Mullinavat as James Stephens beckon this Saturday

Consistency is everything when it comes to success.

In training, preparation, rehearsal, performance, mindset – the lot.

For Mullinavat, it’s been the problem preventing them from being serious Championship contenders in Kilkenny.

This, according to senior manager Paddy Mullally, who was speaking to KCLR ahead of their clash with James Stephens on Easter Saturday afternoon.

“Unfortunately, consistency is probably a problem”, says Mullally.

“If anyone of those teams [in the league] could get it into their game, they would be in the same bracket as the afore mentioned [champions].”

“Last year, I think it was 16 points Mullinavat beat the Village by, but from there, the Village pushed on and went on to win the League.”

“Mullinavat probably took a step back as the year went on. They are looking to learn from that the whole time too and hopefully they will progress as the year goes on this year instead of regressing.”

James Stephens and Mullinavat clash in the St. Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling League at 3pm in Dunnamaggin this Saturdya.
