With the first Grade one of the new jump season less than a fortnight away, and Cheltenham’s opening meeting coming in days, the spotlight is on Ireland’s two top yards, both bulging with stars with eyes on the prizes on both sides of the channel.
Patrick Mullins, son of record breaking trainer Willie Mullins, spoke about his yard’s hopes for the months that lie ahead.
“We are obviously coming off from having seven winners at Cheltenham. I suppose if we could wish for one thing this year it would be Al Boum Photo winning her third Gold Cup, I don’t think we will ever be in that position again, that’s a very privileged and rare position”
