Carlow Senior Hurling forward Denis Murphy says that Saturday’s Joe McDonagh Cup clash at home to Meath is now a must win game.
Speaking to KCLR, Denis says anything less than a victory will see their competition hopes effectively end.
“It’s absolutely a must win game now. We have Meath back at home, we have to go and turn a result there.
“Other than that, your chances of trying to get to the final are pretty much over so it’s back to the walls time.
Murphy popped over some crucial scores in the game against Antrim and will be the go to man for scores this weekend as well.
As it stands Carlow will be without Diarmuid Byrne, Jack Kavanagh and Richard Coady who were red carded last weekend.
