The annual convention for Kilkenny Camogie was held at UPMC Nowlan Park on Tuesday night.
One of the last pieces of business for the year is to set out the county board’s structure for 2024 and while there will be one or two changes due to departures, it’s pretty much ‘as you were’ for the year ahead.
Clara’s Theresa Aylward and Barrow Rangers’ Theresa Hunston continue their terms as chairperson and secretary respectively while the role of vice chair has been vacated by Slieverue’s Martin Quilty who departs the executive to take up a new role as the chair of Leinster Camogie, replacing the outgoing Linda Kenny in the new year.

2024 will mark a new departure for Kilkenny on the senior camogie front with former Carlow manager and Graignamanagh native Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere replacing two-time Manager of the Year Brian Dowling following the Cats’ exit of the All-Ireland series at the quarter-finals at the hands of old rivals Cork.
Kilkenny’s club players will be recognised by our Camán Caint camogie podcast for the third annual Team of the Year event on Friday 1 December, taking place at Dicksboro GAA club, home of the 2023 Kilkenny and Leinster senior camogie champions.
