While team sheets on both sides are always subject to change right up to the opening whistle, Galway senior hurling manager Anthony Cunningham has confirmed a ‘clean bill of health’ for the Tribesmen leading into next Sunday’s hurling showdown with Kilkenny.

All those who featured in the electric semi-final encounter against Tipperary last Sunday week should be available for selection next weekend.

Galway’s team, at least the one on paper starting on the day, should be announced late Friday or Saturday.

While we heard at last night’s media night in Kilkenny that James Stephens clubman Eoin Larkin would be available for selection on 6 September, Kilkenny still have concerns over the role, if any, Jackie Tyrrell will play in Croke Park.

We’ll have more interviews for you from the media night between here and the weekend.
