New year, new season, more awards to go and more achievements to recognise.
As we close the door on another month, it’s time to open the nominations for the February 2023 round of the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award.
Our most recent winner (January) was Coláiste Abhainn Rí’s senior camogie team who in the time since have progressed through their All-Ireland Senior C semi-final with the help of a replay and were this past weekend crowned All-Ireland champions after a two point win over Gort.
We’ve seen more on the inter-county hurling hurling side, plenty of camogie and soccer action, handball has been busy, the football leagues are back, rugby is hitting cup season, athletics is buzzing and there are plenty of other sports on the go.. If you know someone – person or team – who you think should be acknowledged for their achievements or efforts this month, then we’d love to hear from you. Whether on the field of play or behind the scenes, the awards programme is open to all.
