New year, new season, more awards to go and more achievements to recognise.
As we close the door on January, it’s time to open the nominations for the January 2023 round of the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award.
Our most recent winners (December) were Carrickshock Camogie Club who collected the overall club of the year award following their successes on and off the field in the 2022 season. Now, it’s on to 2023.
We’ve seen inter-county hurling return in the form of the Walsh Cup, handball has been busy, the cross-country scene for local athletics clubs is buzzing, boxing is back, the KCLR McCalmont Cup is up and running and plenty more besides. If you know someone – person or team – who you think should be acknowledged for their achievements or efforts this month, then we’d love to hear from you. Whether on the field of play or behind the scenes, the awards programme is open to all.
