A rematch 8 years in the making – Norman Parke and Myles Price will square off at Brave CF 13 this June.
The news comes hot on the heals of the reveal of Price signing his first Brave Combat Federation contract.
Parke (24-6-1, 1NC) has made it known for a few weeks now he’ll be on the card and will now face Price (10-6) in the co-main event.
The two met previously on a Cage Contender card in 2010, Parke scoring a submission victory on that occasion.
It will be the second fight in the space of four weeks for Price who defeated Phil Raeburn at the weekend.
The Kilkenny man is ready to showcase “Myles Price 2.0” as he put it in his post-fight scrum on Saturday.
Norman Parke v Myles Price – Co-main Event
Parke v Price will serve as Brave’s co-main event for their first visit to Belfast (and the island of Ireland as a whole).
The Northern Irishman hasn’t been idle either – he scored a decision victory over Luakasz Chlewicki under the KSW banner in recent weeks. He’s also been active for KSW for some time, fighting Mateusz Gamrot twice only for controversy to reign on both occasions.
The last time he fought in Belfast was the same venue to face team mate and training partner of Price, Paul Redmond, for the BAMMA lightweight title. Parke missed weight on that occasion, but scored a split decision victory.
Their lightweight bout will go ahead at 73kg on Saturday 9 June.
Stephen ‘The Sniper’ Loman will defend his Bantamweight title against SBG Ireland’s Frans Mlabmo in the night’s main event.
Tickets will be available shortly via ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets.
