Carlow Senior Football manager Turlough O’Brien says he was delighted to get a win in such a tough environment.
Speaking to KCLR after yesterday’s win in the English capital, Turlough says they were well of the challenge beforehand.
“It was a game we were very very concerned with. Everyone said going over it was a great draw for Carlow, but anyone that has traveled to Ruislip in the last few years knows it’s a difficult place to win in.
“London had beaten us already in the League and I am sure they had said to themselves, look this is a great chance now to get a Championship victory and they have just opened Ruislip as a new ground and they really wanted to get a win there.
“I’d say so pressure was on us to a certain extent and I think we showed a bit of nervousness in the first-half there. We sat back too deep and allowed London come back at us but it was a great win,” he said
