Paris Texas Kilkenny Basbetball player coach Julian O’Keeffe Junior is juggling his double act role to good effect so far this season.
Paris Texas Kilkenny beat LIT Celtics 99-83 in Division One of Basketball Irelands Mens League at the weekend.
Speaking to KCLR, Julian says that having a good assistant coach in Tommy O’Mahony allows him to focus on playing his part on the court on game day.
“When it comes to a game I get to concentrate more on what I have to do on the court.
“For me its great to have someone like Tommy to help me with all his experience and when it comes to training the two of us come up with different ideas on what to work on for the next game.
“On game day then Tommy takes charge and I concentrate more as a player than a coach,” he said.
