Old Leighlin are appealing their removal from the Leinster Junior Club championship.
The Carlow county champions had qualified for the provincial final next weekend against Navan O’Mahonys.
The Leinster Ladies Gaelic Football Association says they should have moved up a grade after winning the Leinster final last year and so are not eligible for this years contest.
Old Leighlin posted this statement on their twitter feed.
