Old Leighlin manager Barry Hayes credited his side’s recent victory over Palatine with their preparation for the championship.

“We’ve an awful lot of work done. We’ve played an awful lot of challenge matches. We’ve played 23 games this season.”

“We’ve got such a young side, we just felt at the start of the year we needed games, and games going to be what would bring them on.”

“So we’ve done an awful lot of work in terms of just playing games, looking at where we’re doing well, where we’re not doing so well, trying to improve and at all the time.”

“We look back at the video against Palatine, I’m sure we’ll have made loads of mistakes and we’ll try and improve for the next day.”

Those games are with thanks to Dan Morrissey and Co.
