O’Loughlin Gaels claimed their place at the top of the pile in Kilkenny senior hurling with an emphatic victory over Ballyhale Shamrocks at the weekend.
With over 9,000 in the stands at Nowlan Park and plenty more tuned our way for the game, O’Loughlin’s came away 0-19 to 1-12 victory. An early goal from TJ Reid put the cat among the pigeons in Nowlan Park on Sunday but a gutsy fifteen-minute showing from the new champions in the second half outgunning Shamrocks 0-07 to 0-02 ensured the Tom Walsh Cup returned to the city.
We had Brendan Hennessy and Michael Walsh on commentary and analysis with thanks to John Brennan Machinery Supplies in Kilkenny. Listen back below to the full game.
