O’Loughlin Gaels Senior Hurling Manager Niall Bergin says that Bennettsbridge are amongst the leading contenders to win the County Championship having reached the County decider.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday Afternoon’s Senior League clash in Gowran, Niall says both teams are eager to play a match following the long lay-off.
He said “They got the County Final there last year and hurled very very well all the way up along, and in the League match last year we played each other and really it could have gone either way we beat them by a point out on the Kells Road”.
“There is no about it, Bennettsbridge are right up there, in terms of challenging for honors this year, we are looking forward to playing them on Sunday, I am sure both teams are eager to play a match and get going again”.
