There’s good news on the rugby front for Leinster’s Ed Byrne and Jack Conan, both returning to full training this week.

With Munster Rugby hosting the Blues on St. Stephen’s Day, the news will be welcomed by fans as both are available for selection.

Head coach Leo Cullen issued the injury update on Monday with Byrne and Conan returning from calf and neck injuries respectively.

Rhys Ruddock (ribs) and Harry Byrne (back) will be assessed later this week.

Garry Ringrose will sit the game out, his jaw injury requiring further assessment before a return to play date is confirmed.

Johnny Sexton (dead leg) and Caelan Doris (calf) are both unavailable for selection.

Per the injury update, there is no further news or availability on Conor O’Brien (knee), Tommy O’Brien (ankle), James Lowe (groin), Tadhg Furlong (calf), Max Deegan (knee), Jordan Larmour (shoulder), Vakh Abdaladze (back) and Adam Byrne (hamstring).

Leinster’s team to face Munster will be named on Christmas eve.
