It’s a snow day for hurling and football fans.
With three live games due for KCLR starting from 1pm, we weren’t really expecting snow. But we’ve been given snow. As a result, there’s a few teams with the day off.
Kilkenny v Offaly
Today’s National Hurling League Quarter Final between Kilkenny and Offaly is off. Heavy snow overnight in Tullamore suspended the game early on Sunday morning. Weather permitting, the game will play out on Bank Holiday Monday, with a 1.30pm throw-in time again.
Carlow v Westmeath
Today’s National Hurling League Division 2A final is also postponed, failing a pitch inspection on Sunday morning. It is currently re-fixed for 2.30pm tomorrow (Monday).
Carlow v Antrim
With no snowfall reported around Corrigan Park, Carlow v Antrim should proceed as planned at 1pm. However, road conditions through the south east and towards Dublin are tricky in parts. As is standard, Gardai are advising against making unnecessary journeys.
If you can’t make it to Belfast, fear not. Carlow v Antrim is live on KCLR Fanzone and on air through our Carlow frequencies from 1pm.
