Parkville United manager Podge Rooney says that St. Pats won’t be in any affected by their 9-0 loss to Sheriff in their recent Leinster Junior Cup clash.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s KCLR Carlow Shield Semi-Final, Podge says that Sheriff would inflict heavy defeats on several teams.
He says “It’s sort of been stop start, we have had good runs and good wins and then we had runs of losses. It’s very inconsistent, but it’s nice to play a Semi-Final this early in the season”.
“If I was St. Pats, I wouldn’t mind too much about losing 9-0 to Sheriff, they are a step above a lot of teams in the country let alone in Leinster so I wouldn’t think it would have any bearing at all on the match on Sunday”.
Podge says “We still have two more cups to play and if we can get a win in that one, it kind of sets us up nicely for the other two so hopefully get through a Semi-Final and onto the final and win that as well”.
