The 2021 Players’ Player of the Year nominee and Carlow ladies footballer Clíodhna Ní Shé says that being nominated for the award is extra special because it is from her peers.
The Bennekerry/Tinryland player goes up against Marie Kealy from Wicklow and Gráinne McLaughlin from Antrim with the winners revealed at the All Star Banquet at Dublin’s Bonnington Hotel on Saturday, November 13th.
Speaking to Scoreline at the weekend, Ni She, who scored 9-19 in 5 games last season, says that she is proud to be nominated:
“I’m absolutely delighted and it’s such an honour because that award was voted by players that we’ve played against, players from other teams so it’s a huge honour to get recognised from players from other teams, opponents who I’m sure aren’t very fond of you on the pitch” said Clíodhna.
