Irish racing fans are in for a real treat on Sunday as the Curragh plays host to an exciting card of Flat action, with the €100,000 feature Tote Irish Cambridgeshire, off at 4.20.

Carlow-based trainer Pat Fahy will be hoping his filly Stormy Belle can continue her winning ways after recording a fine success at Cork earlier this month, while Summerhill, Co. Meath trainer Sheila Lavery tries a two-pronged approach at the 30-runner contest with lightly raced four-year-old Another Story and three-time winner Secret Wizard.

There is also plenty of quality Group action on the card, with the Group 3 Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes, going to post at 3.45, seeing Aidan O’Brien’s Rain Goddess taking on Dermot Weld’s Making Light, as well as three challengers from Britain.

The Group 3 Plusvital Round Tower Stakes looks a cracker at 2.35, with Jessica Harrington’s striking Leopardstown debut winner Landshark bidding to maintain his unbeaten record, encountering a double-handed attack from Johnny Murtagh who saddles Qatar Racing-owned filly Golden Spell and recent Newbury runner-up Sankari Royale.

There may also be Classic clues on offer in the Flame Of Tara Irish EBF Stakes, a Group 3 due off at 2.00, as impressive Ballydoyle filly Ballet Shoes bids to stretch her winning sequence to three-in-a-row, after marking herself out as a potentially exciting sort for the 1,000 Guineas or Oaks of 2018 last time in Listed company at Tipperary.

The first race goes to post at 1.30 and the going at the Curragh is yielding on the straight course and good-to yielding on the round course.
