Relax folks, the Euro’s will barely be over before we are back into preseason friendlies and transfer muppetry. We will watch on as new managers are appointed & lets face it, potentially sacked after a particularly bad preseason loss to someone like Perth Glory. Lauaghing at Chelsea’s home jersey until Man United released a third jersey made out of ceramic tiles. This can keep us occupied until August 14th surely, because we got a damn fine day to look forward to that day!
Champions Manchester City will go to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season. It will be an Old Rose Derby as Manchester United will host their rivals Leeds United at Old Trafford, with Liverpool away to newly promoted Norwich City.
Brentford, who will taste Premier League football for the first ever time, will host Arsenal on the opening weekend. Champions League winners Chelsea will be at home to Crystal Palace while Everton’s new manager will kick off his challenge against Southampton.
Newcastle United go against West Ham United, Watford will meet Aston Villa And Brighton will go to Burnley.
But the big one ( If you follow out Football Manager Football Show, if you dont follow, you should) will be Leicester City squaring off against the mighty Wolves, for the unofficial King of the Snow Forest crown.
The first Liverpool versus Manchester City game is pencilled in for Anfield on October 2nd, Manchester United will face off versus Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 23rd which is an Irish bank holiday weekend. Chelsea have a tough opening six fixtures with Spurs, Liverpool, Man City & Arsenal all penciled in.
