It’s another busy weekend of club action in Carlow as the third round games in the Senior and Intermediate Leagues take place.
There is 5 weeks until Carlow play Louth in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Football Championship, and Turlough O’Brien and his management will use the club fixtures during that period to try to unearth new talent.
The Senior League Division One commences on Saturday as the O’Hanrahans host Rathvilly.
The Blues have been the form team so far with two wins from two and the Intermediate Champions laid down a marker for the year with a comprehensive 3-15 to 1-5 victory over Tinryland last Sunday evening, and they will feel confident of another victory this weekend.
On Sunday evening, there are three games at 6pm with Tinryland looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat against Old Leighlin, Mount Leinster Rangers host Kildavin-Clonegal and Palatine host Eire Og.
Also on Sunday evening at 6pm, there are 4 games in the Intermediate League Division Two as Fenagh host Grange, Clonmore host Kilbride, Naomh Eoin Myshall host Fighting Cocks while Ballinabranna host St. Andrews.
