This evening during the Drive For Liam Radio Quiz, Kilkenny County Board PRO Seamus Reade confirmed there will be on main public training session ahead for Kilkenny’s senior hurlers of this year’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.

As per previous years, the public session will be held at Nowlan Park from approximately 6.30pm, and usually runs for an hour. Given the shorter run in this year (the Waterford replay means there was a 3 week run in for Kilkenny as opposed to 4 in 2015) there will only be the one public session.

For some fans, it is the first and only chance they’ll get to see the side up close and personal throughout the year and the call has been issued for those who would like to get behind the team for training to make their way to Nowlan Park on Friday 2 September for 6.30pm.

“This time entrance will be to the Ardan Breathnach side of Ground via the Car Park at Aras O Cearbhaill. The ground will be open from 6pm. We encourage fans to attend and to give the team a great send-off in advance of the Final on Sunday.”

Be sure you know the words to the Rose of Mooncoin as well!

We’ll have photos from the session online on the Fanzone before the team to face Tipperary is officially announced later that night.
