The 2017 edition of the An Post Rás na mBan cycle race will return to County Kilkenny this September.
It’s the 12th edition of the race and will run between Wednesday 6th and Sunday 10th September.
2016’s event was broken up into six stages of racing over five days with covering Kilkenny, Castlecomer, Mount Leinster, an individual time trial stage on the Waterford Road and the inner city ‘Criterium’ circuit race which, unfortunately, was marred by a collision in the closing stages of the race in 2016.
Overall, the event was heralded as the organisations “biggest and best yet” and with the Rás na mBan committee delighted with the assistance in Kilkenny and the numbers turning out for races, they’re getting set to return this September.
Route and entry details will be announced over the coming weeks.
