There’s no change at the top for Kilkenny next year.
At a meeting in Nowlan Park on Tuesday night, Brian Cody was ratified for a 20th season in charge of the Kilkenny senior hurling team.
Also returning for Kilkenny’s 2018 campaign will be selectors Derek Lyng and James McGarry along with physical trainer Mick Dempsey.
Under Cody, Kiilkenny have secured 11 All-Ireland titles along with 15 Leinster titles. The Cats lost out in Leinster this year to Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford before departing the All-Ireland campaign at the hands of Waterford in round two of this year’s qualifiers.
With the Kilkenny senior hurling championship about to get started, planning and plotting for 2018 won’t be too far away.
