O’Loughlin Gaels hurler Alan Geogheghan says that reaching the County Final this year was the hardest part after last years Final defeat.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s County Final victory, Alan says a 15 minute spell during the second-half of Sunday’s game made a significant difference to Sunday’s victory…….
“The hardest thing for us like this year was probably getting back to the Final”
“Last year was such a disappointment because the lads put in such a huge effort and all they wanted to do this year was correct what went wrong last year, and probably didn’t perform and probably didn’t do themselves justice in last years final and this year was all about just getting back and putting in a performance”
“The first-half probably wasn’t great but I think the 15 minutes into the second-half, that 10 or 15 minute spell, I think lads just knuckled down and some of the scores we got were exceptional”
