Undisputed lightweight world champions Katie Taylor’s rescheduled July bout with Amanda Serrano has been officially cancelled.
The fight – originally scheduled for May – was postponed by Matchroom Boxing due to the coronavirus pandemic. Taylor was to defend all five titles in this clash
The two women were due to clash on the undercard of the Dillian Whyte versus Alexander Povetkin event in the Manchester Arena.
Taylor has not fought since last October when she defeated Christina Linardatou and has yet to find out the new date for the Serrano fight.
A Matchroom statement read: “Matchroom Boxing have taken the decision to reschedule their events due to take place in Newcastle on Saturday June 27 and Cardiff on Saturday July 11, while the event taking place at Manchester Arena on Saturday July 4 has been cancelled.
