Kilkenny Camogie Results

We’ve hit the business end of the Kilkenny camogie championships as the first round knockouts were played out over the weekend.

While the games will all be reviewed and the next round previewed on tomorrow’s Camán Caint, here’s a recap of what happened in the adult grades this weekend.

Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Senior Championship

  • Tullaroan 2-17 v Conahy 1-06
  • Piltown 4-11 v St. Martin’s 2-09
  • Windgap 1-08 v Lisdowney/St. Lachtain’s 1-09

With the quarter-finals this Sunday, Piltown advance to play St. Brigid’s, Dicksboro will play Lisdowney/St. Lachtains, Tullaroan’s reward is a tough clash against Thomastown while Young Irelands v Clara completes Sunday’s fixtures.

Shaws Department Store Intermediate Championship

  • Rower Inistioge 3-09 v Glenmore 3-08
  • St. Claire’s 2-18 v Danesfort 2-08

Iverk Produce Junior Championship

  • Piltown 2-21 v Dicksboro 1-06
  • Carrickshock 7-12 v Tullogher 2-07

There are four games down for decision at the junior grade this coming Sunday with extra time to be played (where required) in all quarter-finals. Mooncoin host Graiguenamanagh, Carrickshock welcome Naomh Bríd to Hugginstown, Jock Lockes/Bennettsbridge meet Tullogher in Callan while Thomastown and Piltown’s junior sides clash in the late game at 4pm.

There was also cause for celebration on Saturday as St. Martin’s edged St. Brigid’s in the Iverk Produce Junior C League/Championship final, the game taken to extra time with St. Martin’s winning out by the slimmest of margins, 3-13 to 3-12.
