Leading Horse Racing owner Rich Ricci says himself and trainer Willie Mullins will wait until closer to Cheltenham to come up with a plan before deciding whether to go Cross Channel for the March Festival.
Speaking after Faugheen’s Grade 1 victory in Leopardstown on Sunday, Rich says he was indifferent about going to Cheltenham.
He said “It’s amazing, he is a super horse, there is not a lot of miles on the clock, I was just going to say we will retire him now and see what happens, and I would go to Cheltenham, but at the end of the season, I didn’t care, I was happy to campaign him here at home”.
“We will see what happens and we will see what Willie says but I would say the RSA based on that performance and the other one, the RSA and the Marsh are not out of the question but we will have a think and see how the horse is and come up with a plan”.
