Roundup: All the results from the Carlow club hurling and football scene this past weekend (11/4/22)

There were big wins for Fenagh and Fighting Cocks on Sunday while Mount Leinster Rangers and Grange served up a cracker.

Club football continues at pace in Carlow with another round of senior football league fixtures in the bag.

Here’s a look at what happened over the weekend.

Friday: Football League Division 1

Eire Óg 1-10 – 0-08 Tinryland
Rathvilly 1-14 – 1-10 Palatine

Sunday: Football League Division 2

Mount Leinster Rangers held on for a one-point win over Grange in what proved to be a cracker on Sunday evening. Ballinabranna took a four-point win over Kildavin-Clonegal whiile Fenagh were all about the goals against O’Hanrahans. Naomh Eoin v Kilbride didn’t go ahead.

Kildavin-Clonegal 1-07 – 1-11 Ballinabranna
Fenagh 5-10 – 0-04 O’Hanrahan’s
Grange 2-11 – 3-09 Mount Leinster Rangers

Sunday: Football League Division 3

Palatine v Baganelstown Gaels
Fighting Cocks 1-18 – 1-04 Old Leighlin
Ballon GFC 1-10 – Leighlinbridge 0-06

Sunday: Football League Division 4

Asca 1-07 – 1-15 Naomh Eoin
Fenagh – Tinryland
Ballinabranna 0-09 – 0-11 Rathvilly

Bolger Shield

There are two games in the Bolger Cup Shield this evening with Burren Rangers set to meet Mount Leinster Rangers in Kilbride while Carlow Town head to St. Mullins, both of those games underway from 7pm.
