It’s the biggest day in the Kilkenny GAA calendar this Sunday as Ballyhale Shamrocks take on O’Loughlin Gaels in the St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship final at 2pm (Live on KCLR).
Our pre-match analysis will begin at 1pm as Kilkenny U20 manager Mark Dowling, Kilkenny Development Squads coach Eddie Doyle and new Kildare boss Brian Dowling look ahead to the decider.
Brendan Hennessy and eight-time All-Ireland winner Aidan Fogarty will be calling all the action once the ball is thrown in and we’ll be hearing from both camps after the game.
Before the action gets underway, we’ll be previewing the match from 2pm-5pm on KCLR’s Scoreline this Saturday.
As Ballyhale Shamrocks go in search of a record breaking 21st county title, we’ll be getting the thoughts of manager Pat Hoban.
We’ll also hear from two men who led the club to county titles as Maurice Aylward and James O’Connor give their take on the big game.
Club chairman Seán Reid will be stopping by to give us an understanding of how the parish is feeling ahead of their pursuit of a sixth consecutive title.
On the O’Loughlin Gaels side, manager Brian Hogan will be detailing how he has helped bring his team to the brink of a first title in seven years.
2016 county title winning manager Aidan Fogarty will articulate his experience of leading the city club to the biggest prize of them all and chairman Johnny Holohan will be in studio to preview the highly anticipated encounter.
We’ll also be getting the thoughts of KCLR analysts Adrian Ronan and Eddie Scally as they give their unfiltered view on the big match.
