After a busy weekend of sport live on KCLR the Intermediate county finalists are now known. After a double header in UPMC Nowlan Park yesterday Thomastown beat Dunnamaggin in the first of the semi-finals, last year’s runners up are back in the final for the fourth time in five years. They had twenty points to spare on the team that they also beat in the league final a few weeks ago.

In the other semi-final favourite’s Lisdowney lost out to Mooncoin who have been a team in form in recent games. The men from down south are back in the county final hoping to get back into the senior ranks. They had nine points to spare over Lisdowney in the second semi-final. The County Final will take place in two weeks time in UPMC Nowlan Park.

The draws were also made for the Junior championship semi-finals yesterday after the Intermediate semi-finals in UPMC Nowlan Park, see details below
