It’s county final weekend in Carlow, with Netwatch Cullen Park playing host to four deciders.

The senior final throws in on Sunday at four with that game live on KCLR thanks to Dan Morrissey & Co. Its Mount Leinster Rangers versus St. Mullins.

Speaking to KCLR Ranger’s selector Ed Coady said the team used the hurt of last year’s semi-final defeat to Bagenalstown to secure the five-point win last weekend

From the Kilkenny perspective, we have five live games across the weekend, with updates from the grounds from all the other matchups

Starting procedings it’s the first city derby of the season as Dicksboro takes on O’Loughlin Gaels in James Stephens GAA Grounds.

Coming off the back of a convincing defeat of Clara last weekend, Michael Walsh’s Dicksboro side will be hoping to continue their fine form, while Brian Hogan’s O’Loughlin Gaels charges have another tough test after last week’s clash win over Tullaroan.

Harry Kane is reported to have agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich to move from Tottenham Hotspur.

The clubs have agreed on a fee in excess of 100 million euro for the England captain.

Kane is set to sign a 4-year deal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is believed to be on the verge of signing Moises Caicedo (pr: Moy-ses Ky-say-do) from Brighton.

A fee of 110 million pounds has been agreed for the 21-year-old Ecuador midfielder.

The Premier League kicks off tonight. Champions Manchester City go to newly promoted Burnley for an 8 pm start.

At the Kilkenny district league meeting last night it was announced the draw for the Pat Maher Shield will be made Tuesday, with no clarity on the league form structure announced.

they also stated clubs will be applicable to fines for sendings off, however, the exact nature into how this will be enacted still needs some discussion.

Athletics

Elsewhere Kilkenny’s swim club Maria Gooden is swimming in the European under 23 championships in Dublin over the next few days, she will be out in the Backstroke event.

While there was disappointment for another Kilkenny Athlete as Clionna Manning had to withdraw from the 4 x 400m relay team ahead of the Athletic Championships in Budapest due to an injury sustained in the competition.
