Former Kilkenny player Kieran Joyce believes that greater control of games will be the focus for Cats manager Derek Lyng ahead of next month’s All-Ireland semi-final.

Speaking exclusively to KCLR, four-time All-Ireland winner Joyce said that the manner in which the Leinster champions gave up a healthy lead to Galway in the provincial decider will be concerning for the management team.

It’s reported that Manchester City are looking to derail Arsenal’s bid to sign England international Declan Rice.

Rory McIlroy carded his first ever hole-in-one on the PGA Tour last night – it came at the eighth hole of his opening round at the Travelers Championship In Connecticut.

McIlroy is 2 under par, 8 strokes behind leader Denny McCarthy.

Shane Lowry is going well on 6 under.

Racing

Royal Ascot continues today, with the Coronation Stakes and the Commonwealth Cup the two big races.

Domestically, a meeting at Down Royal is underway at 4.50, while a fixture at Limerick is off just after 5pm.
