There was three games played in the Minor A Championship last night, Quarter Finals results below

In the Roinn B Championship Quarter Finals there were wins for Glenmore, Graignamanagha, Danesfort and Galmoy/Windgap

In Carlow there was Minor Hurling games played last night

Kilkenny U20 manager and KCLR analyst Mark Dowling thinks that we cant compare our development squads to other counties , speaking on Full Time last night he said, “Too much is been made of what’s been done in other counties, of course there is things we could do better in the development squads, I’m sure there is other counties probably look at ours and think there are things we’re doing that are really good and that they could take a leaf out of our books”

Soccer

Manchester United winger Anthony has been dropped from the Brazil National team after been accused of domestic assault on his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, the social media influencer alleges that Antony has headbutted her, punched her in the chest and throwing a glass at her on three separate incidents this year. The alleged assaults took place in Manchester between dates in January and June 2022.

“Out of respect for my fans, friends and family, I feel obliged to speak out publicly about the false accusations I have been the victim of,” Antony said.

“From the beginning I have treated this matter with seriousness and respect, providing the necessary clarifications before the police authority. The police investigation is under judicial secrecy, and therefore I cannot make its contents public”.

Athletics

Irish athletics star Sarah Lavin has added the 100m national record to her recently acquired 100m hurdle Irish record. The Limerick native clocked a time of 11:27 in Switzerland last night to break Phil Healy’s mark by one hundredth of a second which she recorded in 2018.

Golf

Ireland will have two representatives in this years Ryder Cup in Italy, Rory McIlroy was already one of the six automatic qualifiers and yesterday Luke Doland picked Shane Lowry as one of his six captains picks. It will be Lowry’s second time at the event having taken part in 2021 at Whistling Straits. Lowry was obviously thrilled to be picked on Team Europe “I’m obviously incredibly proud, grateful, very excited for Rome,” Lowry said. “The last one hurt a little bit and I’m excited for a home Ryder Cup. I’m very grateful that Luke has given me the opportunity to go there and show what I can do again”
