Carlow Golf Club pro Damien McGrane wins 109th Irish PGA Golf championship.
Taking place in Bunclody golf and fishing club, Magrane finished seven under, one shot better then nearest rival Michael McGready.
This marks the second championship victory for Damien, who also won in the 2016 Championship. Speaking with KCLR McGrane never lost belief in himself.
“I have belief in myself, my golf is in a positive place, so the others have to have great day out and take the trophy away from me, i felt i wasnt going to hand it away, because I was in good control of my game. I knew I had to play last 3 holes level par and thankfully i got the job done”
Jimmy Bolger from Kilkenny Golf Club came in fifth at two under
