Slieverue’s Craig Breen is celebrating after he and his co-driver Paul Nagle finished second overall at the Ypres Rally in Belgium.
The event was won by Belgian Thierry Neuville who was 30.7 seconds ahead of his Hyundai i20 team-mate after the 19 stages.
The Waterford man had been around the top of the timesheets for much of the rally but slipped back on stage 17 and the overall margin between Neuville and Breen had grown to 24.3 seconds by stage 19.
Breen and Nagle won four stages during the three days of action to Neuville’s seven.
Craig also finished second at Rally Estonia last month (July).
