Is it one step closer to BAMMA 30 for ‘The Carlow Kid’ Andy Murphy?

Following hot on the heels of the announcement of Magic Myles Price v Philip ‘The Honeybadger’ Mulpeter, it looks like Team Ryano Kilkenny could be getting a second representative on the BAMMA 30 card.

With a fight date booked for 7 July in Dublin’s 3 Arena, a Facebook post from ‘The Carlow Kid’ looks like confirmation is imminent.

With a fight contract on the table, for July, we’re going to safely assume it’s for BAMMA, with Murphy haven’t already fought twice for the organisation.

‘The Carlow Kid’ (1-1) shipped a first round loss to Richie Mullen (heel hook) at BAMMA 26 in September of last year, before taking a first round stoppage over Stephen ‘The Fury Killer’ Kilifin at BAMMA 28 this past February.

An experienced coach at Waterford Institute of Technology’s high performance complex, Murphy has also just taken up personal training reign’s at the new TRK facility in Kilkenny city.

While the local work will keep him busy, it looks like The Carlow Kid is set for a showdown with The California Kid and UFC Hall of Famer Uriah Faber.

As part of his preparation for his next professional outing, Murphy will be training at the Team Alpha Male HQ in Sacramento, California, over the coming weeks.

BAMMA 30 takes place at Dublin’s 3 Arena on Friday 7 July. Get ticket details here.
