St. Bridgid’s Callan got to wake up this morning as Leinster schools camogie champions.
The Kilkenny school made the short trip to Galmoy on Sunday to face Banagher College (Offaly) in the junior B Leinster final.
Dominating proceedings in the first half, the Callan ladies went into the break 1-08 to no score ahead.
By full-time, St. Brigid’s were on the foot of the stand, cup in hand with a 2-10 to 0-05 result.
Gold for Johnstown
Elsewhere, Coláiste Mhuire Johnstown also took home Leinster gold at the weekend. They beat Caoláiste Naomh Cormac/Kilcormac 3-07 to 0-07, in the junior C decider, setting up an All-Ireland semi-final against the Connaught champions in a fortnight’s time.
Goals from Niamh Queally (2) and Louise Bergin (1) proved pivotal in the school’s second Leinster final in the space of a week.
