The combined Blacks & Whites and Slieverue Minor side for 2020 has released a statement today calling on Kilkenny County Board to let their amalgamated team play in this years’ championship.
An amalgamated team was proposed by both clubs, due to lack of numbers at the grade and they were granted the amalgamation by Kilkenny County Board.
The team was informed that entry to the League only would be facilitated.
The team says this “goes against the ethos of the GAA and that Championship competition should also be available to them, as is being afforded to other
amalgamations within the county”.
They issued the following statement today.
Kilkenny County Board say they won’t be making any statement on the matter.
