Kilkenny player Meighan Farrell says the support they’ve been getting this year has been fantastic despite the circumstances.
They’re putting the finishing touches to preparations for the All Ireland final this Saturday against Galway.
Meighan was due to be travelling to Australia this year but says she’s happy to be home and that playing in an empty Croke Park will be strange.
“It’s going to be different alright, we’ve been getting such good support online with our go fund me page and people texting and all” said Meighan.
“It’s unbelievable support, obviously people cant go to the match, it’s just great for us, it feels great that people are actually behind us, I know a lot of people are going to watching the match as well and listening in”.
We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR with thanks to Topline Phelans in Ballyragget and Durrow.
And we are previewing the final live from 5.30pm on Saturday evening with thanks to Country Style Foods.
