The Tailteann Cup continues next weekend without the presence of Carlow.
Niall Carew’s side fell to a four-point defeat in Belfast on Sunday with Antrim advancing to the semi-finals and Monday morning’s draw. Fellow Division 4 side Laois are also in the mix with Down and Meath taking the other semi-final berths.
With the draw made just after 8.30am, the semi-finals of this year’s Tailteann Cup look like
- Down v Laois
- Meath v Antrim
Fixture arrangements including times and venues will be confirmed later today.
The race for Sam
If Mayo want to get their hands on the Sam Maguire cup this summer, they’re going to have to go through Galway. After a busy weekend on the football front including a gripping win for Kildare over Roscommon in Tullamore, the draw for the preliminary quarter-finals of this year’s All-Ireland senior football championship has also taken place.
Armagh, Derry, Dublin and Kerry are already straight through to the quarter-finals and they’ll be joined by the winners of the following games.
- Donegal v Tyrone
- Kildare v Monaghan
- Cork v Roscommon
- Galway v Mayo
Venues and times will be confirmed later today with games scheduled for this coming weekend (24/25 June).
