Andrew Murphy believes that the Martial Arts Club in Kilkenny in which he trains ,Team Ryano, is one of the top teams in Europe.
The Tinryland native who is nicknamed “The Carlow Kid” fought on the Bellator Card recently and he told KCLR that he is very proud to be part of such a strong team.
He said “I train predominantly in the one in Kilkenny with myself, Myles Price, Mick Brennan, Ryan Mangan, that is like my core group of guys I train with, day in day out, and then we travel up to Team Ryano Dublin which is coached by Head Coach Andy Ryan”.
“We get our sparring in with the likes of Paul Redmond, James Sheehan, and all the top pros up there then as well regularly so I firmly believe we are one of the top clubs not just in Ireland but in Europe and I am very proud to be part of such a strong team” he said.
