55 miles by way of the M6 and M69, or 18 points by way of a league table. That’s what separates Wolves (Shane) and Leicester (Ken – that’s me) as our intrepid Football Manager gamers go head to head once more.
In season one, our Argentinian journey, the spoils went to this writer with a slight edge in our head-to-head performances between River Plate and Boca.
As we navigate our way through December, to and past the midway point of our second season, it’s Shane’s Wolves who have been outperforming all pre-season hopes by going some 20 games unbeaten in the league. Not just wins and draws along the way, all wins. Full points, every time, plenty of goals, every game.
On with the show
For Leicester, it’s been a bumpy ride for the first few months of the season, but heading into this week’s podcast, the Foxes have hit form at the right time.
We know from last week’s episode that there’s a new board in place at the King Power Stadium, but will can the changes sustain form or are the wheels coming off again as Wolves keep marching on?
This week we’ll be discussing our December progress – six games in total – including a focus on Leicester v Wolves, tactical choices and reasoning and seen as it worked so well two weeks ago, we’re going to try another live game as the FA Cup begins with Wolves tackling Norwich and Leicester welcoming Doncaster Rovers for a kick-about.
