The final pairing for this year’s KCLR McCalmont Cup has been set.
An early Steven Connolly goal was the difference for Thomastown as they beat Castlewarren Celtic 1-0 in Sunday’s first semi-final.
They’ll face Evergreen on Sunday, May 29 at 3 pm in Derdimus.
Goals in either half from Mikey Drennan and another from Niall Andrews helped the Kells Road club to a 3-1 win over Freebooters.
These sides have played each other many times in this decider over the past few years.
Evergreen has won the competition 17 times and has won it in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Thomastown has won this cup twice, in 1976 and most recently in 2016.
